Heaven and Forever: Week One
What does the Bible say about eternal life with God?
We start here because the promise of heaven is sure. Life with God, forever, is at the heart of the Biblical story. The breath of God imparted life to Adam and Eve at the very beginning in the Garden of Eden and they knew what it was like to live in the presence of God. We were created to live with God—to know him and to be known by him. Adam and Eve’s choice to disobey resulted in expulsion from the garden, but sin did not stop the love of God from pursuing them or us. The story of the Bible is the story of God’s pursuit and rescue and redemption of the people he loves to bring us back, through Jesus, into his presence forever.
